Regional PAAE Meetings

Northern and Eastern Regional PAAE Meetings

For the Regional PAAE meetings, I attended the Northern and the Eastern Regional meetings. As someone who didn't have an agriculture program in their high school, I have no knowledge of AgEd in my area (the Nothern Region). Given, I don't know where I'd like to end up teaching I wanted to go to both my own region meeting and the region I'm student teaching. Ultimately, I wanted to compare them and have the opportunity to meet with a larger number of current teachers.

Northern Regional Meeting

After school, I quickly drove home to attend this meeting in Williamsport. First of all, I just found it refreshing to see new and familiar faces. I found myself connecting with individuals I'd never met before and equally enjoyed conversation with them. Though this wasn't the meeting I was "supposed" to attend, I'm glad I went! 

Eastern Regional Meeting

I attended the Eastern Regional Meeting with Mrs. Anderson and two students interested in becoming state officers. I think my biggest takeaway from this meeting was how well I've gotten to know/recognize teachers in my region the past 15 weeks. Walking into the classroom there were only a few unfamiliar faces and I found myself really comfortable. As always, Mrs. Anderson and I found Mr. Anderson and Mr. Gabel. The meeting itself was pretty straight forward and didn't last nearly as long as I had thought.
